The same year she launched her first album Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked in the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also among the first five songs. In her interview with Rap-Up, many listeners spoke about Cara's self-love journey and her doubts. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate songs about mental health, kindness and self-love into her songs. Her inspiration for her music is derived from her own struggle to conquer mental health issues and insomnia. According to an Reuters interview, she describes the album as being half turbulent and half well-crafted. She claims she has grown through therapy and she encourages other people to get help when necessary. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since 1996. Her parents have Italian heritage. The guitar was gifted to her from her parents at the time she was 10, which ignited her musical passion. Three years later at the age of 13 she started covering her most loved songs on YouTube a major media platform in order to demonstrate to the world that she was talented and the determination to be a singer. In fact she covered one of her song Sweater Weather is the song that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write as well as record herself music.
