Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actress, musician and playback vocalist for Tamil films and Malayalam film. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is from an Anglo-Indian family background. She was born to a Madras High Court attorney. She has an older sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium, as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started the classical piano at eight, has been described as an "geek" and was aspiring to be a psychiatric until her 12th grade board exam. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style band that Andrea joined when she turned 10-years-old. It led to her first singing career and early music composition. The actress was also a stage student at her school and performed in a variety of stage plays organised by The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began the acting profession as a young actress as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. In 2006, her role in the brand new Leo Coffee advert was in the role of Shiva. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a show that was shown on Podhigai. She's performed all across India. She performed a very brief part in Kanda Mudhal which was the 2005 climax. She sang for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. He asked her to be one of the female lead characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea portrays Kalyani as a wife and mother of a man with an affair. Andrea was picked for the part after actresses Simran Tabu and Tabu were invited to audition for the film. The movie was announced in the early part of 2010. In 2011, she agreed to take on a small part in the multi-starrer film of Venkatprabhu Mankatha, which released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film by Rajeev ravi which was released in 2013, was her Malayalam debut.
